The Pokémon World Championships 2025 website has been updated with exciting activities and side events happening in Anaheim:
Cosplay Showcase: Ready to flaunt your Pokémon cosplay? The Cosplay Showcase is your stage! Applications are open until July 28, 2025. Costumes must depict human characters from official Pokémon media, including the Animated Series, Video Games, or related products. A valid badge for Friday, August 15, 2025, is required to participate. Full rules are available on the official website.
Collect and Trade: Trade your Pokémon treasures with fellow fans! This event lets you swap official Pokémon items like plush, playmats, card sleeves, or Pokémon TCG singles. For the first time, a dedicated area for trading cards in the Pokémon TCG Pocket app will be available!
Pin Trading: Partnering with Pokémon Center, we’re thrilled to offer a space for trading official Pokémon pins with other collectors. Look out for staff wearing lanyards with exclusive pins to trade!
Panels: Dive into the Pokémon World Championships 2025 with our Programming Stage! Enjoy exclusive panels featuring Pokémon TCG artists, a sneak peek at Pokémon Center’s fall collection, the Cosplay Showcase, and more exciting content.
Special Guests: We’re excited to welcome VIPs, Pokémon Artists, Pokémon Partners, and Notable Trainers to the event. These key figures in the Pokémon community will be announced soon stay tuned!

The Switch Series: Saturday, August 16, 9:30 a.m. Compete in large-scale tournaments mirroring the World Championships formats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (Regulation I), Pokémon GO (Great League), and Pokémon TCG (Standard). Win top prizes like promos, Pokémon Center merchandise, or a Nintendo Switch for each tournament’s champion.

Pokémon Sisterhood League: Saturday, August 16, 2:00 p.m. An inclusive tournament for women and nonbinary Trainers, fostering a welcoming space for all. Open to all women attendees.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Double Deck Open Championships: Saturday, August 16, 10:00 a.m. Play Pokémon’s newest mobile game in a casual Double Deck format, using two unique decks with no shared Pokémon. Top finishers, Top 8, and the Champion will earn special prizes (no Prize Wall tickets).

Mystery Tournaments: Try unique, creative ways to play your favorite Pokémon games. Bring a Standard-legal deck or team (Great League for Pokémon GO) and expect surprises. Prizes are awarded per round played, but no Prize Wall tickets are given.
